Clenbuterol has been popular with bodybuilders looking to cut fat for some time, however, it’s not without its issues. Any level of Clen dosage can cause health problems, and as a result, a lot of people shy away from it.
There’s no question about it – it’s not the safest substance for cutting, but some believe it’s possible to reduce the likelihood of any negative effects if you use a proper clenbuterol cycle. So what’s the truth? Let’s check the facts.
Is Clenbuterol a steroid?
Clenbuterol, contrary to what a lot of people believe, isn’t actually a steroid. Although it’s similar in some ways to a steroid, it’s actually closer to a stimulant. It’s part of a class of drugs known as beta-2 agonists and was first developed to help people overcome the symptoms of asthma. It soon showed a lot of promise for people hoping to gain muscle and cut fat too.
How does Clen work?
Clenbuterol works by raising the internal temperature of the body. When this happens, the speed of our metabolism greatly increases. When a person’s metabolism rises to an excessive rate for a long enough time, it’s able to burn the fats that are stored in the body more easily. Usually, we need to exercise for a solid 20 minutes before our body starts to access our fat reserves, but Clen cuts to the chase and allows the body to get straight down to fat-burning business.
Clen also improves the flow of oxygen reaching the muscles by increasing the amount of blood that’s pumped throughout the body. This, of course, improves cardiovascular performance and allows you to exert more energy during a workout, which naturally turns the body into a really effective fat-cutting machine. More blood flow also increases the number of nutrients available to muscles which helps them to grow and recover more quickly after intense exercise.
One final advantage of Clenbuterol is the fact that it’s great for cutting the fat which sits beneath the skin in the abdomen. This is great for people cutting with the goal of revealing their six-pack. It’s easy to see why this drug has become so popular with bodybuilders.
What is a Clenbuterol cycle?
Cycling is a term used to dictate the number of times and the length of time a substance should be taken. And when it comes to Clenbuterol, it’s extremely important to use a proper Clen cycle for safety reasons.
Clenbuterol does have some acute effects, but its benefits definitely stack up after you take it for a while. Unfortunately, the side effects also stack up with repeated use, so it’s important you know how to do a proper Clen cycle.
The Clen cycle that’s best for you depends on your metabolic rate and the way your body processes drugs and nutrients. The cycles below are a good starting point, but you should cater your own cycle to suit you.
1 The burst cycle
This cycle involves taking a relatively large Clenbuterol dosage for a couple days, then not taking it for a few more days. This can be a bad cycle for beginners who have no experience with bodybuilding substances. Your body might be caught by surprise and you may experience too much intensity. Some of its effects might manifest too quickly, which can soon become a serious problem.
2 The common cycle
As the name suggests, this is the most widely used Clen cycle. The average bodybuilder that uses Clenbuterol will probably refer to this cycle. During the common cycle, you take Clenbuterol over a seven day period with a steady, regulated amount every day.
After the seven days, you must absolutely stop using Clenbuterol until you’re used to the effects of not having it in your system. This typically takes another week or so, because Clenbuterol has a long half-life.
3 The incremental cycle
This Clen cycle involves starting from a low Clenbuterol dosage and then increasing it without cessation. Take a low dose for a few weeks, then increase it gradually after your body builds up some tolerance to the effects.
Are clenbuterol cycles safe?
In all honesty, no. Clenbuterol isn’t considered a safe substance at any dosage, because of the numerous health issues it can cause. Most of these problems disappear after the substance is out of your body, but this can take some time because Clenbuterol is metabolized and excreted slowly.
Some of the most common issues caused by Clenbuterol include:
- Muscle cramps
- Increased excessive heart rate
- Dry mouth
- Difficulty breathing
- Heart palpitations
One of the most serious issues caused by long-term use of clenbuterol is an increase in the size of the cells in the heart – which make it harder for it to pump blood. This can lead to an increase in the risk of strokes and make it harder for the blood to transmit nutrients and oxygen throughout the body.
With long-term health implications like these, many people don’t consider any level of Clen dosage worth the risk.

Is there a safe alternative to Clenbuterol?
It’s understandable why serious bodybuilders may consider turning to Clen to help with cutting, but we don’t recommend its use at all. Afterall, there’s no point being ripped to shreds if you’re suffering from heart failure as a result.
With this in mind, we created an alternative to Clenbuterol which contains only safe, natural ingredients – Clenbutrol.
Containing niacinamide, garcinia cambogia, bitter orange extract and guarana extract, it’s a powerful natural alternative which carries no negative effects whatsoever.
- Replicates the thermogenic and performance enhancing properties of Clenbuterol
- Burns fat and improves cardiovascular performance by increasing oxygen transportation
- Increases your body’s metabolism, leading to more fat loss even at rest
Clenbutrol, unlike Clenbuterol, can be taken for extended periods of time, without any risk of damage to your health. If you need to get ripped fast, without complications, I think it’s a no-brainer which pill you should choose.
